Artist Profile: Aparna Biswas
Aparna Biswas is a contemporary Indian artist known for her unique visual language that blends abstraction with subtle narrative elements. She has actively participated in numerous group exhibitions across Kolkata and Dibrugarh, earning recognition for her imaginative approach and deep visual sensitivity.
Her work was notably reviewed in “Desh”, the prestigious Bengali literary magazine published by Ananda Bazar Patrika (ABP), highlighting her evolving artistic voice and thoughtful compositions.
Aparna began her formal art education at the “Art Wing” School in Dibrugarh, where she was mentored by the eminent Sri Sanat Baruah. This foundational phase deeply influenced her perception of form and color. She further pursued her passion for fine arts under the guidance of Late Kanti Chowdhury at Nabagram, Konnagar, Hooghly, where she honed her technical skills and deepened her understanding of artistic expression.
Currently, Aparna continues her creative journey from her home studio in Garia, Kolkata, where she explores various media, themes, and conceptual frameworks with a quiet yet persistent dedication.
